Looking for a local product to take back home? TryCayman Sea Salt, a 100% hand produced solar sea salt made from the Caribbean Sea. I switched over to Cayman Sea Salt recently and use it as a primo seasoning on grilled seafood, fresh salads, tropical fruits and popcorn. The taste is superior and compares to any luxury salt in the world. The Luxury Bath Salts are a total treat, and come in luscious flavors like Sea Breeze and Jasmine. You can find Cayman Sea Salt at supermarkets like Kirk, Fosters and Hurley’s, and the craft market. You can even pick some up on the way out of town at the airport Jacques Scott Location.

Most of us don’t associate working out with having a blast. I tried a Nia dance class at Fitness Connection last week and had so much fun I hardly noticed how hard I was working out. Nia is a dance fitness practice which offers a fresh perspective on how to get fit and strong while celebrating self empowerment. The class has soft lighting, groovy international music, and an interesting mix of dancers ranging from ”two left feet” novices (like me) to professional dancers. Check out this video to see a Nia dance class:
Kerrie Hughes is one of Cayman’s longtime fitness enthusiasts. As an RN, Kerrie recognizes the value of heart healthy cardio activities and is on a constant quest for fitness options. Kerrie tried a Nia class at home in Canada and fell in love with the Nia experience. Kerrie became certified as a Nia instructor and has brought the magic to Fitness Connection on Monday and Wednesday evenings 7:20PM-8:30 PM. Come and try a class! Your first one Nia class is complimentary. Call 949-8485 to reserve your spot.
You deserve a treat today. If you must, you can load up a container to go, but you’ll miss the impeccable service Gateway of India is known for. C’mon, we’re worth it!
The best time to splurge on a feast is breakfast. You have all day to burn off the calories! Instead of doing the brunch gig, grab a few friends and head over to Coconut Joe’s. Located across from the Marriott on West Bay Road, Coconut Joe’s known island-wide for their heavenly hash browns, fresh berry pancakes and Eggs Benedict. Power eaters can tackle the “OMG-It’s Huge!” specials, and light nibblers can dig into a bowl of the famous Health Nut Granola and fresh tropical fruit. Nothing beats a comfort food breakfast with a steaming mug of Starbucks Coffee! Dine under a huge Poinciana tree and go casual. Guaranteed to banish even the wickedest of hangovers.
