This week commencing Sunday April 10th is The Week of The Young Child and The Cayman Islands Early Childhood Association and Early Years Task Force. Camana Bay and Books & Books are celebrating tonight with the 4th Annual Pajama Party. What a BLAST for kids under 8! Get the kiddies into sleepwear: nightdresses, footie pajamas, and sleeping caps, and join the gang for a community wide bedtime story. This charming evening of family fun will include night-time tales from local story teller “Aunt Sookie”, singing, dancing, crafts and more.

Be one of the first 300 kids to arrive and enjoy decorating a pillowcase. Also enjoy fresh juices, water and cookies courtesy of the Kiwanas Club of Grand Cayman. This is a free event for kids under 8 years of age.

Ceramic Fish

On Saturday, May 16th, at 4:00 PM, Books & Books will be hosting an exciting pottery painting event for kids of all ages. For only CI $20.00, children will be able to paint their own ceramic fish, provided by All Fired Pottery & Mosaic Studio, while enjoying tales from under the sea. Light refreshments will also be served.

The special paints that children will use may appear dull at first, but don’t fret. Once their ceramic creations are complete, All Fired Up will take them back to their studio and turn them into brightly coloured keepsakes for the children to take home. They will be amazed by the transformation!
