Bacchus

Bacchus

Enter the doors of Bacchus, Grand Cayman’s award winning restaurant and wine bar, and you will feel as if you have stepped into your favorite Parisian bistro in the Latin Quarter. Inside the warm decor, the arches give the place an authentic “wine cellar” feeling, and Bacchus is an ideal setting to enjoy a superb glass of wine from the outstanding wine list.

Bacchus is known among the local residents for the fantastic weekly specials. Dining out in Cayman can be a very expensive endeavour so locals know where to go for the best weeknight values. An excellent example is “Champagne & Lobster Night” at Bacchus. It’s All-You-Can-Eat-&-Drink! This means yogurt for breakfast, salad for lunch, and showing up at Bacchus absolutely ravenous for lobster and champagne!

Enjoy Broiled Lobster Tail, Lobster Thermidor, Lobster Curry, and Lobster Island Style, with the champagne flowing all evening too, for only CI $49.95 per person! This special runs every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Other weekly specials include Super Steak Fridays, Monday Fondue Nights3 Course Wine Dinners, and Bubble Nights, which include Veuve Clicquot and Caviar Canapes.

Dining Alfresco

Posted by admin
The Cracked Conch

The Cracked Conch

In the Cayman Islands, the best weather of the year starts at the end of November. While North Americans bundle up in sweater and mittens, Cayman folks are spending as many evenings as possible outdoors. If you are looking for a glorious alfresco dining experience, plan an evening at The Cracked Conch in West Bay, across from the Turtle Farm. The large restaurant was completely remodeled after Hurricane Ivan with a tiki bar, a stunning upscale cocktail lounge, indoor and outdoor dining, and one of the largest patio areas in the Cayman Islands. In spite of it’s size, the Cracked Conch has a cozy, tropical vibe with tiki torches and the sound of crashing waves in the background.

The seafood is ultra fresh, and the menu is a fusion of Caribbean and international flavors. If you are feeling virtuous, a tempting healthy meal is easy to manage at Cracked Conch. Start with the Marinated Conch Salad, a divine ceviche made with fresh local conch and peppers. Fill up on the Oriental Mesclun Salad, with melt-in-your-mouth local papaya and a homemade ginger-sesame dressing. For your entree, choose the fresh caught Steamed Wahoo, a steamed mild white fish served on bed of warm ratatouille.

The Cracked Conch serves lunch, dinner and an all-day menu. The beef, pasta and vegetarian selections are just as tasty as the signature seafood dishes. The Cracked Conch is elegant enough for a special occasion, and relaxed enough for a weeknight. Visit soon and enjoy your night under the Caribbean stars.

Boogie Nights

The best dance party in the Cayman Islands is Boogie Nights, held the last Friday of every month at The Wharf. The Wharf Restaurant is one of Cayman’s premier waterfront restaurants, located in the heart of George Town on West Bay Road. Boogie Nights is a classic seventies dance party that kicks off at 9:30 PM, and be sure to arrive early so you don’t miss a minute of the fun. The dance floor fills up with revelers wearing bell bottoms, silky pantsuits and Farrah Fawcett wigs. Hosted by KISS 106.1 FM and The Wharf, Boogie Nights is packed with people of all ages and is equally popular with visitors and residents.  DJ Ben Maxwell handles loads of requests with ease. and keeps the boogie tunes spinning.
