Dinner at The Brasserie

Posted by admin
Monday's Secret Pleasure

Monday

It’s not a three day weekend, but you can make it feel like one with a luxurious dinner at The Brasserie. Tonight’s menu (Monday, March 15th, 2010) features fresh-from-the-garden tomato soup, beet risotto (how good does that sound?), local seared Mahi on a bed of seasoned Beluga lentils or a perfectly grilled pork chop, and a decadent dessert. The lovely meal is accompanied by Italian Riesling or a Merlot from Chile depending on what you are in the mood for.

CI $75.00 per couple plus tip. If you prefer, choose something from the a la carte menu, Either way, extend the weekend feeling a bit longer by indulging in a terrific meal at The Brasserie. The chefs continue to bring the best in organic produce and fresh caught fish to Cayman diners.

Irish Jog

Irish Jog

If you’re looking for a 5k event that does not involve getting up at the crack of dawn, we’ve got just the thing for you: the 18th Annual St. Patricks Day 5k Irish Jog on Wednesday, March 18th at 5:30 PM. The event is co-sponsored each year by Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited and Grand Cayman Beach Suites. Serious runners and walkers pushing baby strollers are welcome.

This event is held at the Grand Cayman Beach Suites Golf Course, and it’s only CI $10.00 to participate (US $12.50). T-shirt and refreshments are provided to all joggers. Bring your friends and family and help out the Cayman Islands Diabetes Center.

This is one of my favorite events of the year. It’s a fun group of people, and beautiful venue. Bonus point: no waking up at 5:00 AM for exercise!

For an entry form, e-mail: irishjog@ky.butterfieldgroup.com or call Rhonda Serrano at 815-7549.

Registration Details

Registration starts Monday, March 8th at Butterfield House, 68 Fort Street, from 9AM-4PM.
