Ginger Lily Frozen Yogurt

Posted by admin
Ginger Lily Yogurt

Ginger Lily Yogurt

Are you on the hunt for a great-tasting healthy treat? Head on over to “Ginger Lily” at Camana Bay, for an absolutely delightful taste sensation. Ginger Lily features healthy frozen yogurt, with options that are very new for Cayman: don’t miss the “Natural Tart”  flavor (high protein Greek yogurt), Soya (dairy free) or Sorbet (also dairy free.)  There are the daily flavors: French Vanilla, Dutch Chocolate, Mocha, and a Sorbet flavor. On a seasonal basis, they have flavors like banana, guava, pumpkin, green tea, mango, blueberry, raspberry, passion fruit, cranberry and many others. (I will be pounding on the door when mango season begins to get a taste of the fresh mango frozen yogurt!)

The Natural Tart flavor is simply AMAZING, all alone. All the frozen yogurt is tasty enough to eat plain. Feel free to add in a simple fruit fruit topping, or other healthy toppings, like granola, agave nectar, nuts, or cereal , or you can splurge with the homemade brownie topping, or Oreos.  They also have traditional treats like sundaes, banana splits, Hurricanes (frozen yogurt blended with toppings), Lily Shakes, and milk shakes. The Lily Shakes are made with fresh juices and up to 4 fresh fruits blended together. They also have cookies, and fruit cups, which are wonderful topped with the frozen yogurt of your choice.

They open early. Here is my absolute favorite menu item: terrific old fashioned oatmeal. Why? Because oatmeal tastes delicious served with tart frozen yogurt, and fresh fruit, drizzled with a bit of agave nectar. TRY IT.

There is something for everyone at Ginger Lily! See you there…

Ginger Lily: Camana Bay

Open Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-9:30 PM   Friday 8:00AM-11:00PM    Sunday 10:00 AM-9:30PM

If you are like me, you will stop in to buy gifts, and end up picking up stocking stuffers, as well as that perfect Little Black Dress for the office Holiday party. In addition to many hot LBDs (think short with a little bling) they also have Little Red Dresses, and many other perfect dresses for the holiday party circuit. They also have the sexiest jeans: LA Idol. The  jeans only look super expensive: they fit perfectly, starting at only CI $69.00! Pair them with heels, a Funky Monkey flowy top, and some of their super cute and very unusual accessories. You’ll be all set for the Monday-Thursday holiday parties that require sexy-but-casual attire. Needless to say, the trademark amazing swimsuits are here: for boating, house parties, and beach parties, where a truly beautiful suit is necessary. (With Facebook, don’t get caught with a tired old bikini if you live or relax in Cayman! Great looking beachwear should be a standard part of every Caribbean girl’s wardrobe.)

LA Idol Jeans

Gents: Funky Monkey has great looking shirts for the holiday season, but get there soon: they are selling like hotcakes. Pick yours up now! The really big fashion news for men is SAXX Underwear Co. Weather in the Cayman Islands is fabulous for holiday travelers, but the heat and humidity can be tough on those of us who live and work here. Nailing down a smooth and polished look for your hair can be especially challenging! Even gals with just a hint of curl will find themselves with annoying frizz, here in the tropics. Loading up on tons of heavy products or beating on your poor locks with hot irons or blow dryers won’t work in the long run, either. There is a solution that will give you runway-perfect hair, every day, and with mimimal fuss: Global Keratin Treatment. It’s a salon treatment, available only at The Salon, on West Bay Road. Ask for Joe Cowin. Joe’s a world-class expert in color, cut, highlights, and fashion colors, and she also specializes in the keratin smoothing treatment. She’s been doing hair for 21 years, with recent specialized training in Europe.

The keratin treatment takes a few hours, but it’s SO worth it. It lasts about 3-4 months.  You’ll be left with the most amazing, shiny, smooth, gorgeous hair you can imagine. (Check out the “before and after” pics of Joe’s recent Keratin client!) The only danger with the Global Keratin Treatment is that once you’ve had it, you’ll be so hooked, you’ll never want to be without it again. The cost for the treatment starts at CI $275.00, depending on the length and thickness of your hair, and this includes Global Keratin shampoo and conditioner to take home.  It’s totally worth it, when you factor in the money saved on styling products, and the time you’ll save on blow drying. It’s also so much better for your hair, since it cuts down on how much heat your hair is exposed to each day.

Even if you don’t get the Global Keratin, schedule an appointment with Joe for the most amazing color or cut you can possibly imagine. Getting married soon? She’s got the hottest wedding looks for you and your wedding party.

Joe is responsible for some of the most glamorous hairstyles in Cayman. Join the elite club of “Joe’s Girls”, and start looking as fabulous as you possibly can. Joe: 345-943-4247

My Mom and I are known in our family as marathon “phone chatters”. We call back and forth daily, gabbing about what’s on HGTV, what’s for dinner, the latest New York Times article, or whatever! I treasure the long distance relationship, but not the high cost of keeping in touch, especially for my US family.  International friends and family have always complained about the high cost of calling us here in the Cayman Islands.

The sky-high phone bills and the communications issues are now a distant memory, since Logic introduced “Chatterbox!” It’s the new phone service that gives you UNLIMITED international calling, for one low monthly charge! All you need is a high speed Internet connection.  Visit www.logic.ky/chatterbox to choose a rockin’ rate plan that suits you. There is no waiting for a technician to install your service either; it’s super easy to install. If I can install it in 5 minutes, anyone can!

You can also choose a Chatterbox International Number, which for us, means having an inbound US number, for only CI $7.95 per month. For my US friends and family, they ring me on a local US number, instead of a Cayman Islands number. Brilliant! Visit www.logic.ky/chatterbox to choose a Chatterbox International Number from over 50 countries,  for the same low monthly rate: just CI $7.95.

Chatterbox is the perfect solution for small businesses, too. Great handsets, & unbeatable rates !  Don’t forget to get your Chatterbox International Numbers, to make it easy & affordable for your global clients to stay in touch with you.

I’m all set up for chatting as often as I like now. I even take “Mr. Chatty” with me when I travel internationally, since it’s a snap to set up, as long as I have access to a high speed Internet connection. My Global rate plan travels with me. Instead of getting socked with crazy roaming costs, I can call back to Cayman from anywhere in the world for just 2.5 cents per minute!

Whats holding you back? Get chatting too! www.logic.ky/chatterbox
